I worked on a VR team developing an immersive documentary experience of 5-decade-long NYC citizen Gene Fedorko. Thousands of LGBTQ+ artists died during the AIDS crisis and with them millions of paintings, photographs, songs, plays, dances and sculptures. Gene’s Place is a sanctuary that gathers and immortalizes work from artists from this era. With the team, I utilized immersive technology (Meta Quest 2 headset and Unreal Engine) and cleaned live interview audio in Adobe Audition to help Gene tell his story to audiences.
